NEW DELHI, NOV 28 - UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal arrived in New Delhi on Thursday accompanied by his wife Sitadevi to meet his eldest daughter, Gyanu KC, who is suffering from cancer.Dahal's relative Arjun Pathak said 40-year-old KC is undergoing chemotherapy at the Noida-based Fortis Hospital on Friday and the Dahal couple was here to be with her.
Officials at the New Delhi-based Nepali Embassy said Dahal's trip was entirely personal and that he has no plan to meet Indian politicians on the sidelines of this visit, though there are many who wish to meet the Maoist leader after the November 19 election.
Dahal and his wife are scheduled to fly back to Kathmandu on Friday afternoon.
