KATHMANDU, NOV 28 - The counting of votes under theProportional Representation (PR) system of Constituent Assembly (CA) ended on Thursday.
With the conclusion of the vote count under the PR system, theNepali Congress (NC), which secured 105 seats under the first-past-the-post ( FPTP ) electoral system, emerged as the largest party with 24, 21,252 votes under PR category.
The spokesperson of EC Bir Bahadur Rai said that the vote count of every constituency has completed.
Similarly, the CPN-UML has secured the second position just like in the FPTP category with 22, 43,477 votes and UCPN (Maoist) has claimed the third spot with 14, 38,666 votes.
Rashtriya Prajatantra Party- Nepal (RPP-N), who could not secure a single seat under the FPTP system, is in the fourth place with 6, 24,281 votes, while Madeshi Janadhikar Forum- Loktantrik (MJF-L) has garnered 2, 66,276 votes and RPP has gained 2, 59,238 votes.
In the seventh place, MJF-N has garnered 2,12,733 votes and Terai Madesh Loktantrik Party is in the eighth position with 1, 80,435 votes.
Likewise, Sadbhawana party has secured 1, 33, 521 votes and CPN-ML has registered 1, 30,261 votes.
