Students of a school in Gulmi are compelled to study under open sky after their school building collapse d four months ago.
The students of Chhapahile Proposed Secondary School in Chhapahile VDC-6 are facing such problem. The building was collapsed in landslide in August 24-25 and students from Class 1 – 5 are reading in the school ground, said Headmaster Shyam Lal Giri.
Giri said the school established in 2018 BS had a building constructed by the Gulmi Arghakhanchi Rural Development Project GADEP in 2054 BS.
As there is no place for constructing school, the primary and secondary classes are 15 minutes apart.
Giri said the school has only four-room building remaining, constructed by the Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction.
A local Om Karki says application had been filed at the District Education Office for reconstruction of the building.
District Education Officer Govind Prasad Aryal said the school building is in priority.
